We dispatch to every corner of San Diego. Here are estimated pickup windows by area.
One of our highest-volume corridors. Direct access via I-5 means carriers pass through this zone daily. Corporate relocations, convention center vehicle needs, and luxury pickups from the Marina District make this a consistently active zone. Most common: Luxury sedans, leased vehicles, corporate fleet pickups
Est. Pickup: Same Day or Next Day - High carrier frequency on I-5
Residential corridor with strong outbound demand from military personnel and students. Easy carrier access off SR-163 and I-805 keeps this zone well-covered. High volume of one-way shipments to the East Coast and Pacific Northwest. Most common: Standard sedans, SUVs, military PCS outbound vehicles
Est. Pickup: 1–2 Days - Residential streets, carrier planning required
South Bay's highest-volume shipping zone. National City consistently generates demand for fleet and military vehicles. Chula Vista's proximity to the Otay Mesa Port of Entry adds cross-border relocation volume that few carriers are positioned to handle efficiently. Most common: Military vehicles, fleet units, inoperable vehicles, cross-border relocations
Est. Pickup: 1–2 Days - Border corridor, carrier scheduling applies
Premium pickup zone with consistently high enclosed transport demand. Carriers access via I-5 and Genesee Avenue. UCSD intake periods in September and January add outbound student vehicle volume to the corridor. Most common: Exotic and luxury vehicles, enclosed transport, student outbound shipments
Est. Pickup: Same Day or Next Day
Central San Diego's main arterial corridor. I-8 and I-15 intersect here, making it one of the most carrier-accessible zones in the city. High dealership and relocation volume. Snap-on scheduling windows due to freeway proximity. Most common: Dealership inventory transfers, relocation vehicles, fleet pickups
Est. Pickup: Same Day or Next Day - I-8 / I-15 interchange, optimal carrier access
North County's primary military shipping corridor. Camp Pendleton generates significant PCS movement year-round, with peak volume in June–August. Carriers serving this zone route via I-5 North, keeping pickup windows tight for base-adjacent pickups. Most common: Military PCS vehicles, pickup trucks, off-road vehicles
Est. Pickup: 1–2 Days - Strong military demand, I-5 North routing
North County inland serves a mix of residential and commercial shippers. SR-78 and I-15 provide solid carrier access, though inland routing adds a day compared to coastal zones. Cal State San Marcos generates seasonal student outbound demand. Most common: SUVs, trucks, student vehicles, residential relocations
Est. Pickup: 2–3 Days - Inland routing via SR-78 / I-15
East County's main pickup zone. I-8 East provides the primary carrier route, with reliable coverage for residential and commercial shippers, lower carrier frequency than coastal zones, but consistent availability through our East County carrier network. Most common: Trucks, SUVs, classic and modified vehicles, residential relocations
Est. Pickup: 2–3 Days - East County routing via I-8

Shipping a vehicle to or from California requires specific compliance knowledge. BAH Logistics handles every requirement so you don't have to.
All carriers operating in California must meet CARB emission standards. We verify compliance before dispatching any driver into the San Diego metro.
Fully registered, bonded, and insured under federal motor carrier regulations. Our DOT number and MC number are available on request.
Familiar with Joint Base San Diego and MCAS Miramar relocation procedures. We handle Government Bill of Lading (GBL) documentation and coordinate directly with base housing offices on scheduling.
Experienced with port-adjacent pickups for imported and exported vehicles. We coordinate directly with port scheduling to avoid delays at the 10th Avenue Marine Terminal.
We've handled PCS moves out of Naval Base San Diego, MCAS Miramar, and Camp Pendleton, we know the documentation, the timelines, and what base housing expects on arrival.
If you're making the seasonal run to Arizona, Nevada, or beyond, you already know how quickly carrier availability dries up on these corridors in peak months. Book early, and your vehicle follows your schedule, not the other way around.
Your vehicle isn't a standard shipment, and it shouldn't be treated like one. Every luxury and exotic car we coordinate moves on an enclosed carrier with soft-tie systems and a minimum $100,000 cargo insurance policy, because anything less isn't worth the risk.
You shouldn't have to chase your carrier for updates while relocating from San Diego to another state. We assign based on route match and delivery window, and you get real communication from pickup to drop-off.
When you're moving inventory between lots or shipping an auction purchase across state lines, delays cost money. San Diego's Otay Mesa corridor is one of the most active dealer transport zones in the Southwest. We know the routes and maintain consistent carrier availability across the region.
Moving to UCSD, USD, or San Diego State from out of state means your car needs to arrive around the same time you do. August and January windows fill fast, book at least three weeks ahead, and we'll match your move-in date, not just the closest available slot.
California has some of the strictest vehicle regulations in the country. If you're relocating to San Diego permanently, here's what to expect once your vehicle is delivered.
Register within 20 days of establishing residency
California requires you to register your vehicle with the DMV and obtain a California title within 20 days. Waiting longer triggers late fees. Start the process as soon as you have a San Diego address.
Book your smog check immediately after delivery
Most vehicles over four model years old require a smog inspection before registration. Certified smog stations near high-demand ZIP codes, 92101, 92103, and 92037 in particular, fill up fast. We recommend booking your appointment the same week your vehicle arrives.
Check your insurance meets California minimums
California requires a minimum of $15,000 bodily injury per person, $30,000 per accident, and $5,000 property damage. If your current policy was issued in another state, verify coverage levels before your vehicle hits San Diego roads.
Out-of-state plates have a grace period, but it's short
You have 20 days to switch to California plates. San Diego traffic enforcement is active, and out-of-state plates past that window attract attention, especially in Downtown, La Jolla, and Chula Vista.
Electric and hybrid vehicle owners have an extra step
California requires a VIN verification in addition to standard registration for vehicles new to the state. For EVs, also check eligibility for the Clean Vehicle Rebate Project; San Diego residents qualify, and the process starts at the DMV.

We cover all of San Diego County. Below is every region we serve and what drives car shipping demand in each area.
