Auction car shipping operates under a different set of rules than standard vehicle transport. Storage fee deadlines, auction yard gate procedures, salvage title documentation, and inoperable vehicle logistics require a shipping partner who understands the process before the first call is made. BAH Logistics was built for exactly this type of shipment.
If you are buying your first auction vehicle or managing a high-volume dealer operation, we have worked with buyers in your situation before, and we know what it takes to get the vehicle moved correctly, quickly, and without unnecessary stress.
Copart: The largest salvage auction in the country. We handle clean title and salvage units, running and non-running. We know Copart's gate pass process is cold.
IAAI (Insurance Auto Auctions): A major source of insurance declared total loss vehicles. High percentage of non-running units. We're equipped for both standard and inoperable pickup.
Manheim: The dealer-focused auction network. If you're sourcing inventory through Manheim, one unit or twenty, we have the capacity and carrier network to match your volume.
eBay Motors & Other Online Auctions: We coordinate pickup directly with the vehicle's location. No auction yard procedures required.

Tell us where the vehicle is (auction name, location, lot number) and where it's going. We'll give you a firm quote. No lowball estimates that change at delivery.
We need your buyer number, lot number, and the auction yard location to coordinate pickup. That's it from your side. We handle everything at the yard.
Our carrier documents the vehicle's condition with photos before it's loaded onto the transport. This gives you an independent record, separate from the auction's condition report, so any pre-existing damage is clearly established.
We keep you updated throughout transit. You'll know where your vehicle is and when to expect delivery.
The carrier delivers to your home, shop, or storage facility. You inspect the vehicle at delivery and sign off. If you purchased a non-running vehicle, we confirm winch equipment in advance so there are no surprises at pickup.

Auction car shipping costs depend on several factors. Here is what actually determines your rate.
Distance: This is the biggest driver of price. A pickup from a Copart yard two states away costs less than a cross-country haul from California to New York. Most shipments fall somewhere between $300 and $1,500, depending on the route.
Vehicle Condition: Running vehicles cost less to ship than non-running ones. Inoperable vehicles require winch-equipped carriers and additional loading time, which is reflected in the rate. This is why we ask upfront whether your vehicle rolls, steers, and brakes.
Transport Type: Open transport is the standard option and the more affordable one. Enclosed transport, which is recommended for high-value or collector vehicles, costs more because of the specialized equipment and lower carrier capacity.
Route Demand: Some routes have more carrier availability than others. High-demand corridors tend to be more competitively priced. Remote pickup or delivery locations may carry a premium.
Timing: The faster you need the vehicle moved, the more it may cost to prioritize dispatch. If storage fees are already accumulating, the cost of a slightly higher shipping rate is often far less than the fees that pile up waiting for a cheaper option.
